INTERNET SERVICES

The internet expansion has brought with it ever increasing ways of communication:

E-mail, chat, voicemail, text, VoIP, file transfer, streaming video, webcams, the list seems almost endless and growing day by day.

On the corporate side, the internet industry is even larger with services such as Point-to-Point Private Lines, Frame Relay, xDSL, and ATM, which allows us to access information instantly.

Far behind is the time when we had to wait for hours or even days if we wanted to make a money transfer from one point of the country to another. Everything is now provided instantly.

On the other hand, with so many transactions being handled over the web, intruders are constantly on the lookout for careless or distracted users that have not secured their connections properly. Thus, Internet Security has become an industry in itself that allows for these transactions to take place at minimum risk.

This section describes the different internet services currently available, both home and corporate, as well as the different types of equipment necessary for each.
