Wireless Services and Connections

The term wireless, of course, means without wires and is used for any system that is able to transmit and receive information without a physical connection. The list means used to transmit or receive wireless information is becoming increasingly extensive as users find it much more comfortable to use. Wireless technology allows many liberties that traditional physical connections do not.

Digital Wireless Standards are divided into Japan, US, and European.

US Didgital Wireless Standards are:

Cordless: PACS

Cellular: IS54, IS136, IS95

PCS: IS136, IS95, GSM, PACS, Omnipoint, BB CDMA

Data: CDPD (AMPS), RAM, ARDIS, IS136, IS95, PACS, Omnipoint, 802.11 (Wireless LAN), BB CDMA
